Npc Accesories, Mushroom NPC, Optimization, Table and WIP Poster (Devlog 10)
Hi! I'm a bit late with this devlog, whoops haha, life gets in the way. So this week we've been working on, Making the assesories assign to the npc's properly (its a bit buggy at the moment), Mushroom Npc modelling progress, Poster WIP, Sound bank issues and getting them working in unreal through wwise plugin, and a new table and seat for the outside.
So first i want to talk about the wwise plugin and getting musi and sfx into unreal. This has been a bit on an issue because we all have to go through the process of installing it so our github is linked and working correctly. Its a bit of a tricky process to explain and it needed some time to be done, but it should be all sorted and working soon.
Mushroom npc process: I am mostly finished making the model for the mothman npc, just needs some work on soft edges and making the topology good for sections i had to use booleans with (BOOLEANS WHY...). Yeah the booleaned areas are very bad so will need alot of work. Pretty happy with my progress on this.
Also this is not do to with the mushroom npc, the tri count is way wayy too high for our own guidlines on tri count for npcs, so i will do some work on that to get that nicer. For that the wings have way too many edge loops, and the arms also clip into the base body instead of being 1 mesh.

Poster Wip: Heres the progress on the poster :) Its looking nice , also our character profile pic portraits for promo material is being made so we can show those off soon.
Accessories assigned to NPCs (buggy atm):
So gettin the npc accesories and dialogue randomness linked and working has been funky, a couple of bugs. It's still getting worked on though. Heres some funky glitches with it.
New table and seat:
An updated models for tables and seats for the customer area. Its looking alot more on theme now looking nice imo :).
Optimization:
Theres been some changes also made for optimization. Things like baking lights and altering shadow qaulity. I dont know how to make optimization sound fun or interesting haha, but heres an example of before and after the optimization changes done so far have done.
