Slime Objects, Poison Vile Update, Mushrooom NPC, Optimization and Poster progress (Devlog 11)
Hey! This week we worked on: Slime inside objects now "float", Finished mushroom NPC character, Poison vile update, Poster progress, and optimization/performance stuff.
Needs better performance
- Optimisation on textures, still looks good on lower res.
- Food crates much lower poly by using texture instead. Still plans to reduce poly counts of other assets too.
Game zip size is 350MB now instead of 950MB.
New build! It is a test release, but can check out some new gameplay features from the last couple months. Download the zip to play (ignore the cheese).
Slime floating objects:
Now the objects inside the slime npc float! Its a simple effect and gives of the slime vibe better. Heres that:
Mushroom Npc finished:
I'm finally done with the mushroom npc! This was probably one of my more favorite characters to model, i really like the design and the modelling felt rewarding when i finished it. Its got a pretty basic texture at the moment (Like all the npcs i've made have) but i'll probably rework them down the line if we have time. Heres that:
Poison vile update
Changed the poison vial texture to make it look more like the poison effects colour. Heres that:
Poster progress: Its still being worked on but will show when its fully finished
